WTR Outfitters has been providing unique custom horseback riding adventures for families, campers, fishermen and hunters, since 1939. We’ll help you create your own magical memory in the “Last Best Wild Place.” Explore like Lewis and Clark as you travel Montana’s Bob Marshall Wilderness back country trails, making your on personal discoveries along the way. Enjoy fishing, exploring, nature tours, photography, watch-able wildlife, relaxing and having fun. We look forward to you joining our family of friends. Our summer pack trips are different each year as we show our guests new country not often seen by the average traveler. Ride the trails on a summer pack trip, schedule a private trip, or take a naturalist-guided trip. Or personalize your wilderness horseback summer pack trip to fit your dates, group and what you would like to do and see. As our guests you will travel "The Bob" in style on portions of 2000 plus miles of trails, enjoy fresh home cooked family style meals, great company, fresh air, great views and so much more all led by knowledgeable personnel. We also offer some of the best hunting in Montana's Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness's for elk and deer. Our season begins September 15 each year and goes through the last Sunday after Thanksgiving. Our camps are accessed by horseback, with your 9 day hunt (7 full days of hunting) including heated wall tent camps, home cooked meals and shower tent. Non-resident license application deadline is March 15 of each year. Book with a licensed outfitters and be eligible for an Outfitter Sponsored Guaranteed License.
