Eagle Ridge Ranch is an area of over 2000 acres in the heart of scenic Yellowstone Country and is the home for several thousand head of cattle as well as elk, moose, buffalo, and many other members of Idaho's abundant wildlife family. Located on the Nez Perce Indian trail, the Ranch's history includes the last actual Indian and U.S. Cavalry war in the United States. Chief Joseph and his people were then moved to a reservation where their descendants still live today. This history fascinates owners Mitch and Valynn Jacobs who felt a need to share the history and beauty of the ranch with others who would like to enjoy its authenticity and experience the Old West. At the Jacobs' Island Park Ranch, the mood is always casual and the staff is remarkably friendly. It is truly a place where the slowed pace of the West has been captured and treasured forever.
